Kartik Aaryan reveals he first declined Bhool Bhulaiyaa sequel but embraced Roohi Baba role; upcoming films include Tu Meri Main Tera & Naagzilla.

Did you know that Kartik Aaryan initially declined the opportunity to be part of the ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ franchise?

During a session at the Red Sea International Film Festival in Saudi Arabia, Kartik mentioned that he had declined the opportunity to participate in the ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ franchise. He disclosed that when he was invited to participate in the project, there was no specific narrative, only a concept for a sequel.

Kartik expressed that, upon observing the overwhelming appreciation he has received for his portrayal of Roohi Baba, he feels pleased that he agreed to participate in the project.

When the film was initially presented to me, there was no established narrative—only a concept for a sequel. I was not particularly enthusiastic. However, Bhushan (Kumar) sir persuaded me, and we collaborated on it, resulting in a significant change in everything. Today, I am addressed as Rooh Baba by children wherever I go. I am pleased that I ultimately accomplished it,” shared Kartik.

Both Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 proved to be milestone films for Kartik.

Up next, Kartik has been appointed to lead the highly anticipated romantic entertainer “Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri,” where he will be paired opposite Ananya Panday.

Produced under the guidance of Sameer Vidwans, the project also features Neena Gupta, Jackie Shroff, and Tiku Talsania in prominent roles, alongside additional cast members.

Filmed over a period of 57 days at some of the most stunning locations in Croatia, Rajasthan, and Mumbai. “Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera” is scheduled for a theatrical release on 25 December.

In addition, Kartik will also participate in “Naagzilla.” He will appear in a new guise as Preyamvadeshwar Pyare Chand, a shape-shifting serpent engaged in a fantastical adventure in his upcoming role.

Directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba and penned by Gautam Mehra, Naagzilla is being collaboratively produced by Dharma Productions and Mahaveer Jain Films.
