Shabana Azmi celebrates 41 years of love with Javed Akhtar, sharing a touching post reflecting decades of marital warmth and togetherness.

Veteran actress Shabana Azmi commemorated 41 years of marital harmony with renowned writer Javed Akhtar through a distinguished social media post.

She shared a photograph on her official Instagram account, depicting her gazing affectionately into her husband’s eyes as she engaged in conversation with him, while he listened attentively with a smile on his face.

Calling, gazing at one another in this manner even after four decades of marriage is a true blessing. Shabana wrote in her caption, “Being able to look at each other with such tenderness after 41 years of marriage speaks volumes.”Happy Anniversary, Jadu (sic).

For those unfamiliar, Shabana and Javed Akhtar initially encountered each other at the residence of Shabana’s father, the esteemed poet Kaifi Azmi. At that time, Javed Akhtar was married to his first wife, Honey Irani, with whom he had two children—Farhan Akhtar and Zoya Akhtar.

Although Shabana’s family disapproved of the union, the couple was married in 1984.

After many years of being together, Shabana is also presumed to maintain a cordial relationship with her stepchildren, Farhan and Zoya.

As Shabana commemorated her 75th birthday on September 18th, Farhan expressed his felicitations on his social media platform in honor of her special day.

He shared a charming photograph of the two on his Instagram, accompanied by a birthday message that stated, “Happy belated birthday, Shabana…” Wishing you the most remarkable year to date—one filled with profound, meaningful conversations and lighthearted antaksharis, work travels and getaways with friends, ambition and spontaneity.
