Noida to get Pradhan Mantri Pashu Aushadhi Kendras offering veterinary medicines at 50–90% lower prices, starting January in Dadri, Jewar, and Bisrakh.

Inspired by the Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Kendra framework, Pradhan Mantri Pashu Aushadhi Kendras (Prime Minister’s Veterinary Medicine Centres) are scheduled to be inaugurated in Noida, providing veterinary pharmaceuticals at prices approximately 50 to 90 percent lower than prevailing market rates. The initiative seeks to deliver substantial financial assistance to livestock proprietors and enhance disease prevention in animals by ensuring access to high-quality, cost-effective medications.

The Department of Animal Husbandry has solicited online applications for the establishment of these centers in the Dadri, Jewar, and Bisrakh development districts, with the objective of commencing operations from January, according to officials.

Previously, veterinary pharmaceuticals were exclusively obtainable via general medical establishments, lacking oversight from drug regulatory personnel or the Department of Animal Husbandry. This deficiency in regulatory supervision resulted in grievances concerning substandard quality and excessive pricing of veterinary pharmaceuticals within the marketplace.

The state government has issued directives for the establishment of new centers, and qualified pharmacists or authorized medical store proprietors are permitted to submit applications. Following the receipt of applications, priority will be accorded to individuals who fulfill the specified eligibility criteria.

Veterinary medical facilities shall be established within the Dadri, Bisrakh, and Jewar sectors. Online applications are being accepted, with preference accorded to qualified candidates, according to Chief Veterinary Officer Arun Kumar Sachan.
