UP CM Yogi Adityanath emphasizes quality healthcare for all, supports AI integration, and promotes expansion of hospitals like Medanta in Uttar Pradesh.

The chief ministe Yogi Adityanath,  who had previously toured the future Noida International Airport in Jewar, asserted that all citizens, particularly the most impoverished, are entitled to high-quality healthcare.

Before departing for Delhi, Adityanath spent roughly thirty minutes at the new hospital. Speaking to the crowd, he stated that a key component of the state’s governing approach has been its emphasis on developing medical facilities. “Uttar Pradesh was known for its “one district, one mafia” strategy eight years ago. One medical college now serves as the identity of each area. The number of health facilities is steadily growing,” he stated.

Through programs like Ayushman Bharat, he continued, the “double-engine government” has improved access to healthcare.

The government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi connected Ayushman Bharat to roughly 50 crore people. This work was continued by Uttar Pradesh. In a single year, those who were excluded spent ₹1,300 crore on care from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. “This is still going on,” he stated.

Adityanath also discussed the business-friendly measures that made it easier for hospitals to open. He gave the example of how a hospital’s required 18-meter road was lowered to seven meters in order to make room for additional projects.

Dr. Naresh Trehan, the chairman and managing director of Medanta, Brijesh Singh, the minister in charge of the district, Pankaj Singh, the MLA for Noida, and Mahesh Chauhan, the head of the Noida BJP, all attended the ceremony.

Additionally, the chief minister advocated for increased use of AI in healthcare. “Common people’s facilities can be greatly enhanced by better use of AI in health services.” Work is already in progress; IIT Kanpur’s center of excellence is building up its capacity in this field,” he stated.

Adityanath reflected on previous public health emergencies, stating that encephalitis had killed over 50,000 children in the Gorakhpur region over the course of 40 years. Within two years of the government’s formation, the sickness was under control. A governance committee was established and a specific campaign was started,” he stated.

He advised Dr. Trehan to think about establishing a Medanta facility in eastern Uttar Pradesh, adding that big hospitals not only provide health care but also create jobs.
