Mumbai Police summon social media star Orry in high-profile drug case after allegations by accused trafficker linked to Dawood Ibrahim gang.

The Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) of the Mumbai Police crime division recently called influencer and content producer Orhan Awatramani, also known as Orry, in relation to a Rs 252-crore narcotics case. According to the videos circulating on social media, the social media star was surrounded by the throng when he went before investigators on Wednesday for interrogation.

Outside the office, Orry was heavily surrounded by a sizable crowd and paparazzi. He made his way through the crowded area without stopping for pictures or providing any quotes or remarks to the assembled media.

The event’s videos make it very evident how daunting the situation was. Security personnel had to carefully escort Orry since he was surrounded and the large crowd was difficult to drive away. Numerous cameras and microphones are pointed directly at him. Orry entered the building wearing a brown shirt with a design and spectacles. On Tuesday, Siddhanth, the brother of actor Shraddha Kapoor, was also spotted handling a significant drug case worth Rs 252 crore.

Orry was called in response to allegations made against him by alleged narcotics trafficker Mohammad Salim Mohammad Suhail Shaikh, who is allegedly connected to the Dawood Ibrahim gang. Shaikh allegedly admitted to investigators that he had thrown lavish parties in Dubai and Mumbai, which were purportedly attended by a number of well-known people, including NCP leader Zeeshan Siddique, rapper Loka, directors Abbas-Mustan, Nora Fatehi, Shraddha Kapoor, and Siddhant Kapoor. Orry was called to their Ghatkopar office on Thursday morning to be questioned in relation to the case, an ANC officer said HT.

The case began in March 2024 when 126.14 kg of mephedrone, valued at around Rs 252 crore, were confiscated by authorities from a production facility on a farm near Sangli. After being deported from Dubai, Mohammed Salim Mohammed Suhail Shaikh was later arrested and confessed to planning rave parties for celebrities both in India and beyond.
