Punjab Police arrested 81 drug smugglers and seized heroin, ganja, pills, and Rs 5.52 lakh in drug money on the 269th day of CM Mann’s campaign.

Continuing the state’s relentless campaign against drugs, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s initiative, “Yudh Nashian Virudh,” marked its 269th consecutive day with a series of aggressive operations. Punjab Police conducted raids at 309 locations across the state, resulting in the arrest of 81 drug smugglers and registration of 75 first information reports (FIRs).

The raids led to the seizure of 1.5 kg heroin, 1 kg ganja, 585 intoxicant pills, and Rs 5.52 lakh in drug money from the accused. This effort underscores the government’s commitment to completely eradicate the drug menace in Punjab.

Since the launch of the campaign, 38,010 drug smugglers have been apprehended, marking a significant step toward a drug-free Punjab. Chief Minister Mann applauded the police for their persistent efforts and emphasized the importance of community cooperation to ensure lasting success.
