The actress Madhuri Dixit is ready to make a big screen comeback in her upcoming film “Mrs. Deshpande” in a raw avatar.
Fans were treated to an enthralling trailer from Nagesh Kukunoor’s film when the producers announced that the suspenseful thriller would be released on December 19.
Introducing us to the world of “Mrs. Deshpande”, the trailer portrays Madhuri in a stark, de-glam avatar. The ‘Bholi Si Surat’ song from her film “Dil To Pagal Hai” is hummed while she silently chops vegetables while a radio bulletin talks about a serial killer who is on the loose.

The Hindi version of the French thriller “La Mante” is supported by Applause Entertainment in collaboration with Kukunoor Movies.
Siddharth Chandekar and Priyanshu Chatterjee play important parts in the film alongside Madhuri.
Nagesh Kukunoor, the director, discussed the drama, saying, “Mrs. Deshpande has been a really interesting and fun journey for me. I only saw Madhuri in the title part while I was writing the script, so it was a complete delight to see her portray this nuanced character.

“The deglamorized look is just the beginning as her character constantly keeps the audience second-guessing the secrets that she hides behind the million-watt smile,” the director continued, hinting at what else may be anticipated from the drama. The audience will be astounded by her subtle portrayal because this character is a big change from anything they have ever seen her do.
“Mrs Deshpande” is not like anything she has ever entered, Madhuri added.
“It removes the glitz that viewers typically connect with me and is unvarnished and unadulterated. She is the most nuanced character I have ever portrayed; you feel as though you know her all the time, yet you don’t. It has been thrilling and nerve-racking to play a character with so many facets! I can’t wait for people to see this exciting new side of me,” the ‘Dhak Dhak’ girl said.
