CM Bhagwant Mann asserts Punjab’s rights will not be compromised, accusing Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan and Haryana of pressuring the state at the NZC meeting.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann stated on Tuesday that he will not allow anyone to take away the state’s and its citizens’ rights, reaffirming the state government’s strong commitment to protecting Punjab’s interests and those of Punjabis.

Speaking to reporters here today, the chief minister stated that all of the member states had presented their opinions at the Northern Zonal Council (NZC) meeting on Monday.

Ironically, he added, the bulk of states, including Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Haryana, were determined to violate the state’s rights. It is regrettable, according to Bhagwant Singh Mann, that Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Haryana are unnecessarily putting pressure on the government for violating our rights.
