AAP MLA Kuldeep Dhaliwal distributed ₹2.20 million to 515 flood-affected farmers in Ajnala, ensuring swift relief and transparent compensation for all.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader, former cabinet minister, and current MLA Kuldeep Dhaliwal  gave ₹2.20 million in compensation to 515 flood-affected farmers from 17 villages in the Ajnala district as part of a significant relief effort for farmers impacted by recent floods in Amritsar.

The purpose of the unique event, which took place in Ajnala, was to lessen the financial strain on farmers whose fields, crops, and other agricultural assets were harmed in the floods. This financial assistance has been a huge help to a lot of local farmers who were having a hard time getting back on their feet after suffering large losses.

According to Dhaliwal, many farmers experienced extreme problems following the floods as a result of crop devastation, flooded fields, and damage to agricultural equipment and inputs. He claimed that the compensation was given out as part of the government’s attempt to assist them in quickly resuming their farming operations.

MLA Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal spoke to the crowd and reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to supporting all impacted farmers. He said that he had been working tirelessly to ensure that flood relief would be provided as soon as possible, as he had previously promised the people of his constituency. According to Dhaliwal, the administration has set a goal to distribute compensation to all impacted areas of the Ajnala flood by November 30.

He added that farmers from communities where survey work is still ongoing will also receive compensation. Those farmers will also immediately receive financial relief following the completion of the surveys. He underlined that the government’s compensation plan will not exclude any family harmed by flooding.

According to Dhaliwal, the government plans to provide whatever assistance feasible to help farmers restart their farming operations. He also gave staff instructions to prioritize resolving farmers’ problems and to ensure total transparency in the compensation process.

Farmers in attendance praised the initiative and described the prompt financial support as an essential step in enabling them to restore their farms and start growing again. Many said that they would be able to buy necessary farming supplies that were destroyed in the floods and rehabilitate their land with the relief money.

The compensation push is seen as a much-needed intervention for the rural population, particularly for those who are having a hard time recovering financially from crop loss. Farmers said they hoped the government would continue to act quickly in similar situations in the future.
