Kejriwal and CM Bhagwant Mann join Sangat to honor Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s 350th martyrdom day, highlighting his message of love, tolerance and human rights.

AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann joined the Sangat at Gurudwara Chevin Patshahi for a Kirtan Darbar hosted by the state government to commemorate Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur ji’s 350th martyrdom day.

Speaking to the crowd, the AAP National Convener urged everyone to embrace the universal teachings of Guru Ji, which include love, secularism, religious tolerance, freedom of faith, and peaceful coexistence. “The life and philosophy of the ninth Guru Sahib remains a beacon of inspiration for the world,” he said, describing it as an opportunity to disseminate the message of Guru Sahib’s tremendous sacrifice for the cause of humanity and religious freedom. Arvind Kejriwal added that the Punjab government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, had planned a number of lavish events to appropriately celebrate this historic occasion.

According to Kejriwal, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib set an example for the world by making the ultimate sacrifice to defend human religious freedom. He urged the populace to adhere to Guru Sahib’s teachings on the path of justice in the genuine human tradition. According to Arvind Kejriwal, Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji made the greatest sacrifice in history by giving his life in Delhi to defend religious freedom and human rights.

“The life and philosophy of Guru Sahib continue to serve as a beacon of light for all humanity,” Kejriwal stated, describing the Ninth Sikh Guru as a true emblem of secularism, unity, and international brotherhood. According to him, the main goal of these gatherings is to spread knowledge about the Guru’s teachings, selfless life, and timeless message of compassion and peace that still motivates millions of people worldwide. Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, according to Arvind Kejriwal, advocated for the defense of religious liberty and was murdered in 1675 in Delhi’s Chandni Chowk.

According to the AAP’s national convener, Kashmiri Pandits sought assistance from Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji in order to safeguard their faith. He claimed that in spite of multiple concessions from the former rulers, Guru Ji refused to submit to oppression and instead decided to die as a martyr in order to protect religious freedom. According to Arvind Kejriwal, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji is revered worldwide as the first martyr to give his life in defense of human rights.

The AAP National Convener stated that although there have been many instances of austerity, self-control, bravery, sacrifice, and service throughout history, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s struggle for religious freedom and human dignity created a new era that has never been seen before. He claimed that rather than submitting to the rulers and their authority, Guru ji’s unparalleled sacrifice rocked the foundations of tyranny. Guru ji’s grandfather, Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji, too suffered from extreme torment at the hands of rulers before to his execution, according to Arvind Kejriwal, who offered his life with the blessing of God.

The Chief Minister, meanwhile, claimed in his speech that the history of India was changed by Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s sacrifice for the defense of morality and faith.
