Humane Sagar, popular Odia playback singer, dies at 36 due to multiple health complications. Fans, colleagues, and Odisha leaders mourn his loss.

Humane Sagar, a well-known playback singer from Odisha and one of the most recognizable voices in the state’s music business, died on Monday night at the age of 36. Despite receiving critical medical attention, the singer passed away after being admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences

In an official bulletin, AIIMS confirmed the news and stated that, despite intensive treatment from specialists, Sagar’s condition had swiftly deteriorated. Bilateral pneumonia, acute chronic liver failure (ACLF), multi-organ dysfunction syndrome, and a number of related comorbidities were identified in him.

Singer’s death confirmed by the hospital

Sagar was admitted on Friday but showed no indications of recovery, according to AIIMS.

“Despite all aggressive and advanced care provided by an expert team of specialist doctors, Humane Sagar (36) did not respond to treatment and expired at 9.08 pm on November 17,” the medical statement stated.

Odisha and the entertainment sector were rocked by the news, and fans, musicians, and political figures all paid their respects.

Leaders in Odisha Offer Heartfelt Tributes

In a heartfelt message posted on X (previously Twitter), Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi expressed his sorrow.

“I am very saddened to hear about the passing of famous playback singer Humane Sagar,” he wrote. His passing is an irreversible loss to our film and music. I offer the grieving family my condolences and ask God to grant the deceased peace. Om Shanti.

Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Naveen Patnaik also conveyed his condolences, writing, “Along with praying for the eternal peace of his immortal soul, I convey my condolences to the bereaved family members during this sorrowful time.”

Humane Sagar, who was born in Titlagarh, Odisha, on November 25, 1990, became well-known after winning Voice of Odisha Season 2 in 2012. He gained a huge following for his expressive, soulful singing style over the course of the following ten years, becoming a mainstay in Odia movies and independent music.

“Ishq Tu Hi Tu,” “Tu Mo Love Story,” “Gopa Hele Bhi Sato,” “Baby,” and “Agastya” are some of his most cherished songs. He was referred to as “Odisha’s Arijit Singh” for his ability to transform unfiltered passion into song.

Fans and colleagues think it will be impossible to fill the vacuum left by Sagar’s tragic demise in the Odia music business.
