Punjab govt disburses over ₹17 crore under Mission Chardi Kala, providing major compensation to flood-affected families and farmers across the state.
Under the direction of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab government has continuously provided financial assistance through Mission Chardi Kala to aid in the rehabilitation of those impacted by floods and rain.
The Punjab government today disbursed more than Rs. 17 crore to flood victims at various locations throughout the state.
Cabinet Minister Harjot Singh Bains gave flood victims in the village of Jindwari, Sri Anandpur Sahib assembly seat, crop compensation totaling roughly Rs. 2 crore 26 lakhs as part of this campaign.
S. Bains provided more information, stating that 70 farmers in Sub-Division Sri Anandpur Sahib, 101 farmers in Sub-Division Nangal, and 35 farmers in Sub-Division Rupnagar received Rs. 72,12,000, Rs. 58,89,000, and Rs. 89,68,000 today.
Similarly, Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, an MLA and former Punjab Cabinet Minister, gave Rs. 5.86 crore in compensation to 1330 farmers in the Ajnala neighborhood of Amritsar.
The state administration gave cash aid to flood-affected families around the state on the fourth day in a row of the third phase of the relief distribution process.
According to an official spokeswoman, sanction letters for Rs. 40 lakh in compensation were given to residents of Sultanpur’s flood-affected villages of Bhaini Kadar Bakhsh and Pasan Kadim in the Kapurthala district today.
In addition, the spokesperson stated that 380 flood victims in Talwandi Sabo and Maur received the sanction letters to be distributed under Mission Chardi Kala.
According to the spokesperson, 80 beneficiaries in Talwandi Sabo received the sanction letters from Chief Whip Prof. Baljinder Kaur.
According to the spokeswoman, MLA Sukhbir Singh Maisarkhana gave the sanction letters to 300 residents of the Bathinda district’s Maur seat who had been impacted by flooding or severe rain.
According to the spokesperson, about 1350 beneficiaries received approval letters totaling Rs 5.83 crore from MLA Dharamkot Davinderjit Singh Ladi Dhos today.
According to him, Ranbir Singh Bhullar visited the villages of Kamal Wala (Muthianwala) and Bala Megha in the Ferozepur Urban Assembly Constituency and gave the flood-affected households in the villages sanction letters totaling Rs 1 crore 5 lakh.
According to the spokesperson, farmers in the flood-affected area of Shah Hithar (Gulaba Bhaini) received Rs 1 crore 57 lakh from Fazilka MLA Narinderpal Singh Sawna.

Notably, Punjab is offering flood-affected households the largest compensation ever, and the state government has made sure that aid is distributed to all impacted families in an open and honest manner.
While farmers were receiving Rs 20,000 per acre for agricultural damage, the compensation sum for dwelling damage has jumped from Rs 6,500 to Rs 40,000. To help them regain their livelihood, the state government is paying Rs 37,500 for milking cow, Rs 32,000 for non-milking cattle, Rs 20,000 for calf, and Rs 100 for chicken birds.
