Bihar Assembly elections 2025: Phase 1 concludes with 64.5% turnout. PM Modi and Yogi Adityanath praise NDA’s governance, criticize RJD-Congress alliance.

West Champaran: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said Friday that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s leadership, Bihar has made great strides in building a solid basis for effective administration.

“Today is a fortunate day. Vande Mataram, the national song of India, has reached its 150th anniversary. In Bihar, you must have witnessed the jungle raj. I implore those who witnessed the jungle raj, hooliganism, corruption, and chaos in Bihar prior to 2005 to share their experiences with the current generation. The lantern isn’t needed right now. At a rally held here, Chief Minister Yogi stated, “Bihar has advanced to establish a solid foundation of good government in LED lighting under the leadership of Nitish Kumar and the vision of PM Modi.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a caustic remark on the opposition’s “rift-ridden” Mahagathbandhan alliance earlier today as he sounded the campaign horn in Aurangabad, Bihar. He stated that the Congress “does not have faith” in its ally RJD’s agenda, calling it “a packet of lies.”

“Even Congress doesn’t trust the assurances made by the RJD. The RJD’s manifesto isn’t even discussed in Congress. At an Aurangabad event, PM Modi declared, “Bihar has also rejected RJD’s package of lies.”

There has been much conjecture around a purported split within the Mahagathbandhan. PM Modi had previously asserted that the RJD “forcefully” removed the Chief Ministerial position from Congress in spite of the latter’s protests during the negotiation stage of the election preparations, however the coalition partners, including Congress, have refuted such allegations.

“Bihar voters accept our sincere objectives and have faith in Narendra-Nitish’s record. “Phir ek baar, NDA sarkar… Bihar mein phir se sushasan Sarkar,” PM Modi declared, citing the first round of voting as confirmation.

Because the NDA helped Bihar escape the jungle raj, the state has faith in the BJP-NDA. According to Bihar, the NDA will ensure the state’s development. Bihar believes in NDA’s Sankalp Patra because of this,” he remarked.

Voting for 121 seats in 18 districts took place on November 6; 64.5% of voters turned out to vote. The assembly elections’ second phase is scheduled for November 11 and the vote count is scheduled for November 14.

The second round of the Bihar elections will see the conclusion of polling for 122 seats spread over 20 districts. The second phase will cover districts like as Aurangabad, Jahanabad, Gaya, Nawada, Jamui, Bhagalpur, Purnia, and others.
