Punjab Govt, under CM Bhagwant Mann, ensures smooth paddy procurement with over 10 lakh farmers benefitting from MSP till November 5.

Under the leadership of CM Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab government has taken proactive measures to guarantee a smooth paddy procurement season. As a result, 10,11,149 lakh farmers have benefited from the Minimum Support Price (MSP) through November 5th.

The purchase, lifting, and payment processes are proceeding well under the direction of Lal Chand Kataruchak, Minister of Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs. With 95021 farmers benefiting from MSP, the Patiala District is currently in the forefront.

Up to the evening of November 5th, a total of 13869759.05 MT of paddy has arrived at the mandis across the State. 13597879.27 MT stands were purchased out of this, reaching 98 percent. With a total lifting figure of 11729851.90 MT, the lifting has reached the 86 percent mark of the entire crop that has been purchased thus far.
