iQOO 15 series debuts in China with Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, 144Hz AMOLED display, 7000mAh battery, and powerful gaming chip. India launch expected next month.

The iQOO 15 series, the company’s most recent flagship lineup, has been formally unveiled in China, with an emphasis on power efficiency and raw performance. With the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, LPDDR5X RAM, and UFS 4.1 storage, the new series offers lightning-fast data processing. Alongside the SoC is a specialized Q3 gaming chip that was co-developed by iQOO. Its purpose is to relieve the main processor of some graphic and scheduling duties, resulting in more fluid gameplay and longer-lasting performance.

In terms of appearance, the iQOO 15 has a 6.85-inch LTPO AMOLED screen with a 2K-class resolution and a lightning-fast refresh rate of 144 Hz. In addition to supporting Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and 2160 Hz PWM dimming, the screen uses Samsung’s M14 8T panel material for improved color accuracy and brightness.

The recognizable squircle-shaped rear camera module in the phone’s design is still there, and it now has RGB lighting for dynamic visual effects. The device’s enormous 7,000mAh battery powers it, and it supports both 100W conventional and 40W wireless charging, making it one of the most battery-durable flagships available. Additionally, it boasts an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint reader and IP68/IP69 dust and water resistant ratings from iQOO.

The back camera arrangement consists of three 50MP sensors: an OIS-equipped main camera, an ultra-wide lens, and a three-periscope telephoto lens. Selfies and video calls may be taken using the 32MP front camera.

The gadget runs OriginOS 6, which is based on Android 16. Interestingly, iQOO has verified that the Indian version will continue to run OriginOS rather than Funtouch OS, as was the case with earlier editions.

Higher configurations are available, with the 12GB RAM + 256GB edition of the iQOO 15 starting at 4,199 yuan. According to the company, the same hardware will likely be used for the launch in India, which is scheduled for next month.
