Rajkummar Rao dedicates his Filmfare Critics Award for Srikanth to his unborn child in a heartfelt speech, winning hearts at the 2025 Filmfare Awards.

Mumbai: Actor Rajkummar Rao made one of the most touching moments at the Filmfare Awards in Ahmedabad when he gave the Best Actor Critics Trophy he received for his movie Srikanth to his kid that was about to be born.

While winning his award for Srikanth, this actor said in his speech that he and his wife were about to have their first kid. He also said that he gave the trophy to his baby.

Rajkummar greeted the Srikanth team with tears in his eyes and added, “Thank you, Filmfare, Tushar, our director, Nidhi, and Bhushan, our producers, and Srikanth Bolla, whose life inspired us to tell this story.” Thank you, audience, for making Srikanth a hit in theaters. It’s really vital for movies like Srikanth to do well in theaters too.

He also acknowledged his wife, actress Patralekhaa, and said, “Thank you, Patralekhaa, forever, my beautiful love.” Our baby is on the way very shortly. I love you. This award is for my baby who hasn’t been born yet. Later, the actor posted a video from the event on his social media. He said, “Srikanth won the Best Actor Critics Filmfare Award.” I worked really hard on this movie, and it feels like magic when Shahrukh Khan says such nice things in a performance. Thanks, sir. Thanks to Filmfare and the real Shrikant, whose life inspired us to write this narrative.

He also thanked his wife and followers, saying, “Thank you, Patralekhaa, my love, for always pushing me to do good work.” And most of all, thank you to everyone who showed Srikanth so much love. “I’ll keep working hard and telling you these great stories to keep you entertained.”

Abhishek Bachchan and Kartik Aaryan won Best Actor Male for “I Want To Talk” and “Chandu Champion,” respectively, at the 2025 Filmfare Awards. Alia Bhatt won Best Actress for “Jigra.” Other big winners of the night were Pratibha Ranta, Chhaya Kadam, and Ravi Kishan.
