Employees will receive the increased allowance with their November 1 salary, along with a cash payout covering the DA difference from July 1 to October 1.

Uttarakhand DA Hike : Pushkar Singh Dhami’s government has given the people of the state a three percent raise in their dearness allowance (DA) as a Diwali present. They also announced an ad-hoc bonus on Wednesday. Starting on July 1, 2025, state employees will get 58% of their dearness allowance instead of 53%. This new DA slab is likely to raise the salary of state workers by between Rs 900 and Rs 6000 per month.

The higher allowance will be paid out with the salary starting on November 1. All employees will get cash to cover the loss caused by the changed DA slab from July 1 to October 1. In addition, employees who make Rs 4800 a month would get an extra Rs 6908 as a one-time incentive.

There are also plans to give separate directives to raise the dearness allowance for High Court judges, the chairman, members of the State Public Service Commission, and public sector workers.

Ad-Hoc Bonus for Diwali

The state Finance Department has also told employees with basic wages up to Rs 4800 to get a one-time Diwali bonus of Rs 6908. Since the highest ad hoc incentive is Rs 7000, the days will get a bonus of Rs 6908 for 30 days.

Who Can Get This Bonus?

Employees who were working on March 31, 2025 will get the ad-hoc Diwali bonus. To get the bonus, employees must have worked for at least six months. People who have worked for the company for six months to a year will get the incentive based on their service ratio.

People who work in the unorganized sector also get the Diwali bonus. Daily wage workers who have worked at least 240 days a year for the past three years will get a bonus of Rs 1184.
