In “Two Much,” Chunky Panday revealed that his uncle, Col. Raj Kapoor, played a key role in launching Shah Rukh Khan’s career with “Fauji.”

Bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan and Chunky Panday are very close friends, and their connection has lasted into the next generation.

Recently, actors Govinda and Chunky Panday appeared on the current episode of the streaming chat show “Two Much with Kajol and Twinkle.” They told anecdotes that made people laugh, remember the past, and hear things they had never heard before.

Chunky stated on the show that SRK’s first movie was noteworthy since it was connected to his family: “Humare poore parivar mei koi actor bana nahi kabhi.” No one in our family ever became an actor, but my uncle, my mamaji, used to play character roles. Yes, my uncle, my mother’s brother, liked to play characters. His name was Colonel Raj Kapoor. (He was called Col. Raj Kapoor.) He made the Fauji serial with Shah Rukh Khan. “He made the Fauji serial with SRK.”

Govinda also talked about one of the best things that happened to him while filming the episode: shooting a song with British pop star Samantha Fox. He remembered how it all started with Subir Mukherjee’s mother, who had supported his mother. Years later, life came full circle when he decided to star in his movie for only a dozen bananas and a coconut, not money.

He remarked, “So the song from the movie came on and I looked in front of me and saw Samantha Fox.” Then the song for the movie came on, and I thought, “Oh my God, Samantha Fox” when I saw her in front of me.

In another part of the broadcast, Chunky talked about how his family is made up of doctors and how his mother is connected to Hindi movies.

He said, “My parents are both doctors.” My father was a heart surgeon, my mother was a doctor, and she knew everyone in the film industry. “My dad was a heart surgeon, my mom was a doctor, and she knew everyone in the film industry.”

Chunky said that his mom wasn’t just any doctor; she was the Bollywood stars’ go-to medical expert back in the day.
