Actor Kartik Aaryan shared a poignant moment with his parents as he received the Filmfare Best Actor Award in Mumbai.
The actor from ‘Dhamaka’ was overcome with emotion as he expressed his gratitude and contemplated the journey that led him to this milestone. The event was a genuinely memorable and poignant celebration of his accomplishments. Kartik shared a video on Instagram of him receiving his first-ever Filmfare Best Actor award and wrote a touching message. The actor’s caption for his Instagram post read, “This resonates differently when you recall your origins.” That evening, each emotion I had ever experienced was articulated. From the small-town child who only dreamed of this stage to the man who is experiencing it, I am grateful to the universe. Not only did I speak that evening, but I also felt each syllable. There was no preparation for this speech. It was in real time.
Kartik stated in the video, “There are specific moments in life when you believe that this is real, and this is a nighttime experience that I actually believe is a dream.” The more I discuss that film, the less I speak about you, Kabir sir. When I first learned about Murlikant Petkar’s voyage, I was told a story about a man who never lost faith in himself.

“I experienced a sense of personal loss when others ceased to believe in him.” I am unable to articulate it, but that voyage occurred throughout my entire professional career. The voyage was the most delightful of my life. I am indebted to Kabir sir for the two years we spent together. He is considered one of the most exceptional directors in the history of Indian cinema. I am extremely fortunate to have been under your guidance, sir. Frames are not the only thing you create; you also create universes. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with you and work under your guidance.
Kartik further stated, “I would like to extend my gratitude to Sajid sir and Vardha ma’am, who served as a pillar of support for the film.” The narrative of Murlikant Petkar was finally revealed after an extended period of time, approximately fifty years. They received the Lifetime Arjuna Award upon the release of our film.
“My parents are present.” I am overjoyed that this moment is unfolding in their presence. Since infancy, we have been captivated by television, which has become our preferred medium. I am under the impression that this occurred in my household as well. We have consistently considered this opportunity. When I first became an actor, my primary concern was when I would receive a film trophy for Best Actor. Please accept my heartfelt gratitude for this.
