UP Govt to enable online RTI applications; officials in Meerut receive training to ensure faster, rule-based processing and better compliance with the RTI Act.

Under the Right to Information Act, the UP Govt is getting ready to accept and process applications online. Officials from every district in the Meerut division will receive training for this from the Principal Secretary of Administrative Reforms.

In accordance with the Right to Information (RTI) Act, the Uttar Pradesh government has taken action to make it easier for applications to be submitted and processed online. Today, in Meerut, officials from every district in the division are attending a one-day training session as part of this endeavor.

The training will concentrate on how to receive and handle RTI applications online in compliance with the regulations. It is intended for Public Information Officers, First Appellate Authorities, and designated officers from different departments.

The Principal Secretary of the Administrative Reforms Department at Chaudhary Charan Singh University’s Atal Auditorium is leading the session.

The Information Commission has been fining authorities for not processing RTI applications in accordance with the rules, Divisional Commissioner Hrishikesh Bhaskar Yashod emphasized. The government’s attempts to ensure compliance with the RTI Act and expedite the procedure include the new online system and training.
