Mumbai One app is a mobility platform designed to simplify travel across various public transport options in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR).

Phase One of the Navi Mumbai International Airport and the last phase of the Mumbai Metro Line-3 are two significant infrastructure projects that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to launch during his two-day visit to Maharashtra on Wednesday. The Prime Minister will also introduce Mumbai One, which is India’s first integrated common mobility application for eleven public transport companies, according to an official statement.
what is Mumbai One App?
By providing integrated mobile ticketing across many public transport operators in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), the Mumbai One app aims to greatly assist commuters. Through service integration, the app enables users to plan and utilize a single digital ticket for multimodal journeys that include buses, suburban trains, monorail, and the metro.
Important transit operators included:
11 transport services within the MMR are currently connected by the app, including:
- Mumbai Lines of the Metro (1, 2A, and 7)
- Mumbai Navi Metro
- Mumbai’s Monorail
- Mumbai Suburban Railway

The following bus services are offered: Thane Municipal Transport, Kalyan Dombivali Municipal Transport, Mira Bhayander Municipal Transport, Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST), and Navi Mumbai Municipal Transport.
Benefits and characteristics for commuters:
The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) claims that the app offers the following benefits:
- Integrated mobile ticketing across several providers is known as “smooth ticketing.”
- Queue Elimination: Encourages online purchases to cut down on wait times.
- A single, dynamic ticket for journeys combining several forms of transportation is known as multimodal connectivity.
- Real-time Updates: Offers up-to-date details on projected arrival times, alternate routes, and journey delays.
- Information Services: Data about local stations, landmarks, and sites of interest based on maps.
- Safety: Enhanced commuter security with an SOS feature.
Not included in the original rollout:
The core MMR area is Mumbai One’s primary focus. As a result, the application does not currently incorporate services such as the statewide Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) and the Vasai-Virar Municipal Transport (VVMT), which mostly serves the area outside of inner Mumbai.
