Australia-A leveled the series with a 9-wicket win over India-A in the 2nd Unofficial ODI  despite Tilak Varma’s impressive 94-run effort.

IND-A vs. AUS-A 2nd Unofficial ODI: Australia A won the match by nine wickets and leveled the series, despite India’s top batsman Tilak Varma scoring a hard-fought 94 runs. Because of his outstanding performance during the rain-shortened encounter, Tilak made a compelling case to be selected for India’s ODI team; however, the visitors staged a spectacular chase-back.

The host set a target of 246 runs because none of the hitters could accomplish much after their strong showing in the series opener, and Tilak demonstrated his value going into this match following his outstanding performance in the top showdown. However, Australia was required to chase 160 runs in 25 overs following a three-hour rain delay. When they were 48/0 in 5.5 overs, they were given a rain break.

Thanks to the valiant efforts of Cooper Conolly and McKenzie Harvey, they were able to simply pursue the objective after the rain stopped. The tough knock of 36 runs off 20 balls was made by Jake-Fraser McGurk. The Indian bowlers were struggling as the visitors chased the score in 16.4 overs.

When they were defending, Arshdeep Singh conceded 44 runs in the 4 overs he bowled, and they were hammered for 22 fours and 6 sixes.

India’s innings is saved by Tilak.

Although he was on the team, Abhishek Sharma was dismissed on a first-ball duck. Tilak, who batted at number three and faced 122 balls throughout his knock, maintained his outstanding form while the other batters also failed to produce.

The hosts were left reeling at 17/3 after Shreyas Iyer, who had hammered a century in the series opener, again failed. Parag scored 58 of the 101 runs that Tilak and Riyan shared. After that, Tilak formed a 34-run partnership with Ravi Bishnoi and a 28-run partnership with Arshdeep Singh.

On Sunday, the third ODI will take place.
