Minister Nitin Nabin said Bihar will support NHAI, adding the Gorakhpur-Siliguri and Raxaul-Haldia expressways will boost connectivity across districts.

The government of Bihar has started the process of acquiring land for the building of the eagerly anticipated Raxaul-Haldia and Gorakhpur-Siliguri motorways. State Roads and Highways Minister Nitin Nabin said Friday that the procedure is expected to be finished within the next two months while revealing specifics. He emphasized that the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) will receive all the assistance it needs from the state government. The minister underlined that new motorways will greatly improve regional connectivity and offer convenience to people living in a number of districts.

According to Nitin Nabin, who gave specifics, these expressways will shorten travel times and ease traffic in certain regions. In addition, by linking Bihar with the neighboring states, the projects will stimulate the economy. “Within the next two months, the land acquisition for these projects should be finished,” Nabin said. He added that the process has been instructed to begin by the Assistant Land Acquisition Officers of each of the districts in question.

The Gorakhpur-Siliguri Expressway will travel through a number of Bihar districts, including West Champaran, East Champaran, Sheohar, Sitamarhi, Madhubani, Supaul, Araria, and Kishanganj, according to a statement made by the NHAI earlier last month. East Champaran, Sheohar, Sitamarhi, Muzaffarpur, Samastipur, Begusarai, Lakhisarai, Munger, and Banka are among the nine districts in Bihar where the Raxaul-Haldia Expressway will span 407 kilometers, according to the authority.

In order to take the next necessary steps, the NHAI encouraged the state government to start the land purchase process in these areas. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said earlier in September that the state administration has been working on a number of important infrastructural projects to help the people of the state. Nitish, making fun of the RJD, claimed that Bihar’s infrastructure had grown rapidly since 2005 and that the previous administration had done nothing to help the populace.
