Bihar : BSSC releases advertisement for Inter-Level Combined Competitive Exam 2023 with 23,175 vacancies; no reapplication needed for existing candidates.

In an updated advertisement for the Second Inter-Level Combined Competitive Examination-2023, the Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) is now accepting online applications for positions in a number of state offices and departments. The total number of openings that need to be filled has increased to 23,175 due to the addition of additional requisitions.

In addition to the 12,199 positions that were previously published, the commission reports that on August 14, requisitions for 10,976 positions were received from 65 departments. Online applications will be accepted via the official website (https://bssc.bihar.gov.in) between October 15 and November 27, 2025.

The deadline for submitting fees is November 25. Candidates who previously applied under advertisement number 02/23 do not need to reapply, the commission said.

As part of Vigilance Awareness Week, which will take place from October 27 to November 2, the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) and the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will hold a national essay writing contest.

Students in Classes 9 through 12 are eligible to enter the competition, which has as its theme “Vigilance: Our Understanding, Our Responsibility.” Essays are one hour long, 500–600 words long, and can be written in Hindi or English. Particular attention will be paid to originality and intellectual integrity.

Three levels of evaluation—school, regional, and national—will be applied to the entries. The top three essays from every school will be shortlisted at the regional level and posted on the CBSE portal. The top five essays will then be sent to the CVC once the best submissions are evaluated nationally. During Vigilance Awareness Week events, school-level winners will also get recognition.
