Bihar : Political parties gear up as election dates likely announced after October 6; BJP appoints in-charge and co-in-charge for better readiness.

Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan was named the party’s leader for the next Bihar Assembly elections by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday.

Two important party officials will serve as his co-in-charge. CR Patil and Keshav Prasad Maurya, the deputy chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, have been given the task by the party.

Arun Singh, National General Secretary of the BJP, appointed them with immediate effect in a press statement.

Party leader Dharmendra Pradhan is named the BJP’s election in-charge for Bihar. Co-incharges are Keshav Prasad Maurya and CR Paatil of the party.

Following reports that the Election Commission is most likely to release the Bihar vote schedule after October 6, the appointment was made. The future of the NDA, which has dominated the state for a large portion of this century and is led by Nitish, will be determined by the next election. Congress, on the other hand, has been ineffective over that time.

With a campaign against the poll body and the BJP over ‘vote chori’, the Congress is attempting to bolster its position. The Congress is fighting alongside the RJD, which wants to remove Nitish Kumar from office and install Tejashwi Yadav as the state’s new chief minister.

Bihar now has 243 seats, and the two main alliances, led by Nitish and Tejashwi, are working hard to develop polling plans and work out a seat-sharing arrangement with their supporters.

The polls are unlikely to turn bipolar despite the conflict between two powerful alliances because Prashant Kishor, a former poll strategist who is now a politician, is prepared to run for office in all 243 seats under the Jan Suraj Party. The fact that Asaduddin Owaisi’s AIMIM would run in the next Bihar elections is one of the contributing causes.

Five seats were won by AIMIM in the Seemanchal region in the most recent 2020 elections, however they all quickly joined the RJD. A political rivalry between Tejashwi and Owaisi had been sparked by this.
