Sunil Gavaskar shares advice on managing Jasprit Bumrah workload ahead of the Asia Cup 2025 Super Four stage.

Speaking on the subject, veteran Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar expressed his belief that Bumrah need to be rested for the Super Four match against Pakistan in order to be fit for the championship match.

In order to be ready for the more important game on Sunday, the 28th, I think Jasprit Bumrah should be rested, possibly even against Pakistan. That is what India ought to consider. Naturally, one bench player must be included, but Bumrah need to be benched for tomorrow’s match in order to allow him time to recover,” he stated in an interview with Sony Sports.
