In a cryptic comment on X also previously known as twitter, Uttar Pradesh deputy chief minister Keshav Prasad Maurya claimed on Wednesday that the party is bigger than the government, sparking rumors of a “rift” inside the Bhartiye janta party state unit.

“The organization is larger than the government, and I feel the pain of my coworkers.” No one is greater than the organization; employees are its greatest asset,” the deputy chief medical officer’s office wrote in a post posted on X.

A portion of Maurya’s speech during Sunday’s BJP working committee meeting in Lucknow was cited. There was also a photo of the meeting in the background of the post.

“The organization was bigger than the government and will always be bigger. The doors of my residence at 7 Kalidas Marg are open to everyone. I am Deputy Chief Minister later but first I am a worker,” Maurya stated in the meeting.

He also urged all the ministers, MLAs, and public representatives to respect the party workers

This post was made one day after the deputy CM Maurya visited J P Nadda, the head of the BJP, in New Delhi, amid rumors that he and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath were at odds and might have rifted.

Other prominent BJP figures, such as Finance Minister Suresh Khanna and Minister of Uttar Pradesh Swatantra Dev Singh, have also kept quiet.
Neither Maurya nor the BJP released a statement regarding this matter

Akhilesh Yadav, the president of the Samajwadi Party, has accused the BJP of competitiveness and stated that this is detrimental to the welfare of the people.

At the SP headquarters here earlier in the day, Yadav told reporters, “The people of Uttar Pradesh are suffering in this fight for power.”
