Punjab Launches Easy Jamabandi Portal: Revolutionizing Revenue Services with Digital, Corruption-Free Solutions
In a major step towards transforming public service delivery, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday launched the ‘Easy Jamabandi’ portal, a digital platform offering hassle-free, transparent, and corruption-free land revenue services.
Speaking at the launch in Amritsar, both leaders described the initiative as a citizen-centric reform aimed at eliminating red-tape, bribery, and delays that have historically plagued land-related services. This follows the successful rollout of the ‘Easy Registry’ system, which has already seen widespread appreciation and zero corruption complaints in Mohali district.
Five Key Services on the Easy Jamabandi Portal
The Easy Jamabandi portal (easyjamabandi.punjab.gov.in) offers five essential land revenue services now accessible online and through WhatsApp:
- WhatsApp te Jamabandi (Land Record Copies on WhatsApp)
Citizens can now receive digitally signed Jamabandi (land records) copies directly on WhatsApp.
- No visits to Patwaris
- No queues or middlemen
- Free of cost
These documents are QR-code verified, making them tamper-proof and easily authenticated by officials and financial institutions.
- Online Intkal (Mutation) Seva
Each year, Punjab processes 8 lakh mutation requests. The new system automates mutation for deed registrations within 30 days, while inheritance-based mutations can be submitted online and will be completed within the same timeframe with real-time WhatsApp updates.
- Rapat Entry (Court Orders and Loans)
About 2 lakh Rapat entries are filed annually. These will now be processed:
- Within 1 day for court orders
- Within 7 days for loan-related cases
All processes are digital, minimizing human interference and ensuring speed and transparency.
- Fard Badar (Correction of Land Records)
Previously a lengthy and opaque process, citizens can now correct spelling mistakes or factual errors in records by submitting a simple online form.

- Jamabandi layi Subscribe karo (Subscribe to Your Land Records)
A unique service especially beneficial for NRIs, this feature allows landowners to subscribe to their land record (Khewat) for ₹500/year.
If any changes are attempted, they receive instant alerts via WhatsApp or email, enabling them to raise objections online.
This measure offers unprecedented land security, protecting owners from unauthorized alterations.
A New Chapter in Digital Governance
CM Bhagwant Mann emphasized that the digitization of 99% of village land records has already been completed, and the remaining 1% will be finalized within two months. Citizens can also dial 1076 or visit any Sewa Kendra to access these services.
“This is a promise fulfilled. We told the people of Punjab that we would deliver corruption-free governance—and this portal is proof,” said Mann.
Arvind Kejriwal added,
“We’ve proven that good governance is possible. People no longer have to bribe Patwaris or stand in long queues to get what they rightfully own.”
Transparency, Accountability, and Convenience
The Easy Jamabandi portal is designed to remove discretion from revenue officials, replacing manual processes with automated workflows, QR-coded documentation, and real-time tracking.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government stated that by July 15, the initiative will be expanded across all districts in Punjab, following the successful pilot in Mohali.
