Addressing the media on Tuesday, ACP Poonam Chand Yadav confirmed the breakthrough. “All four accused have confessed to killing Raja Raghuvanshi,” said Yadav. “The first blow was delivered by Vishal alias Vicky Thakur.” The confession reportedly came after extensive interrogation and coordination with law enforcement agencies across multiple states.
The suspects involved — Vishal Thakur, Akash, Anand, and Raj Kushwaha — were part of a meticulously planned crime, police said.
Sonam Raghuvanshi Under the Scanner

The fourth suspect, Raj Kushwaha, remained in Indore and is believed to have provided each of the absconders with ₹40,000–₹50,000 to fund their escape. Despite staying back, he played a pivotal role in the planning and execution of the crime.

Preliminary investigation reveals that the group ambushed Raja Raghuvanshi in a premeditated attack. After assaulting him, they disposed of his body in a deep gorge in a bid to cover their tracks.
