The Hyderabad police have detained actor Aman Preet Singh, who is the brother of actress Rakul Preet Singh, in relation to a drug case.
Under the supervision of the Cyberabad Police, the Narcotics Bureau and the Rajendra Nagar SOT Police jointly carried out an operation that resulted in his detention.
The Hyderabad police released information regarding the case at a press briefing on Monday. They verified the arrest of Aman Preet Singh in relation to a recent drug bust.
Aman’s name was on a list of 13 persons who had taken the narcotics and tested positive, even though five people were arrested for drug sale. He would be brought before the court shortly, the police said.
“I will only comment on whom Aman is connected to once we investigate the case more,” the police stated during the press conference. We must ascertain when he first became associated with the accused, who include some Nigerians and Indians.
They include some repeat offenders. However, we think it may last for a year and a half. In the urine test, Aman’s use of cocaine was detected. He stated that he is an actor, although he did not specify whether he performs in Tollywood or elsewhere.
In the past, the Enforcement Directorate called Rakul Preet Singh in relation to a money laundering case that was connected to a drug probe.
The police explained, “She has nothing to do with this case, we are not investigating her, her name needn’t be dragged in unnecessarily, so we will not be commenting on it,” in response to an inquiry on her role in the current case.
It should be mentioned that the Enforcement Directorate called Rakul Preet Singh, Charmme Kaur, Rana Daggubati, Navdeep, Ravi Teja, and Puri Jagannadh in relation to a drug trafficking and consumption case between 2021 and 2022.
The agency recorded her comments a year ago. Since Telangana’s Prohibition and Excise Department busted a high-end drug syndicate in 2017 that was distributing LSD, MDMA, and other narcotics, the ED has been looking into this case for four years.
