This advisory follows the government’s earlier guidance issued on 5 January 2026 and comes amid an evolving situation in certain regions of Iran.
Safety Precautions and Guidance
The embassy has advised Indian nationals to exercise extreme caution, avoid areas of protests or demonstrations, and stay informed about local developments through reliable news sources. Citizens are also encouraged to maintain regular contact with the Indian Embassy in Tehran for assistance and updates.
The advisory stresses that all Indian nationals should keep their travel and immigration documents, including passports and IDs, readily accessible at all times to facilitate safe movement if required.
