She responded that love is beyond religion and people fall in love with a person, not their faith.

Sumbul said there is nothing wrong with interfaith marriage if two people truly love each other.

She added that society unnecessarily makes interfaith marriages a big issue, though it is a personal choice.

She said everyone has the right to live life on their own terms and make independent decisions.
