Muslim Actress Nushrratt Bharuccha Faces Backlash After Mahakaleshwar Visit
Bollywood actress Nushrratt Bharuccha visits the famous Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain and participates in Bhasma Aarti.
She offered prayers to Lord Mahakal and performed traditional rituals, including pouring water, following temple customs.
Her visit sparked widespread reactions and ignited a debate over religious boundaries and practices.
Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi, National President of the All India Muslim Jamaat, criticized Bharuccha’s actions.
He claimed a Muslim woman participating in Hindu rituals goes against Islamic teachings.
Maulana Razvi urged Nushrratt to perform tauba (repentance), recite istegfar, and read the kalma for forgiveness.
He described her actions as a violation of Sharia, calling it a major sin under Islamic principles.
From Bareilly, Maulana Razvi stated Nushrratt Bharuccha is “guilty in the eyes of Sharia” for participating in Hindu rituals.
