Deputy Chief Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla has said that by working with determination, passion and enthusiasm as a team, Madhya Pradesh will be taken to the top in the provision of health services. He said that in the current budget, 34 percent more amounts have been provided in the health sector as compared to last year. This increase in the health sector represents the priority of the government for the health sector. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Shukla said that the Ayushman Bharat Yojana has ensured access to excellent health services to every citizen. In the current financial year, 45 percent more budget has been provided for the Ayushman Bharat Yojana as compared to last year. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Shukla participated in the “Manch Madhya Pradesh” Medically Speaking program of a private news channel in Bhopal.

 

Efforts are being made in a planned manner by doing gap analysis in health services

 

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Shukla said that gap analysis has been done by deeply brainstorming the system of services in the health sector. Efforts are being made in a planned manner to fulfill these shortcomings. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Shukla discussed in the program about the efforts and goals being made in the health sector in Madhya Pradesh. The deputy Chief minister said that efforts are being made to increase the number of medical colleges to ensure medical manpower availability along with health infrastructure development. The deputy Chief minister called upon the medical community to provide services in rural areas. He said that efforts are being made to bring community health centers to the district hospital level.

 

The deputy Chief minister said that the parameters of Indian Public Health Standard (IPHS) are being implemented to strengthen health services. The government has created more than 46 thousand new posts. Efforts are being made to fill these posts in the next 2 years. The government is making continuous efforts to increase the availability of medical education. Only 5 government medical colleges were operating in the state in the year 2003. Currently 14 government medical colleges are operating. In the year 2024-25, 3 more government medical colleges will be operational in Mandsaur, Neemuch and Seoni. The government is making efforts to run 8 more medical colleges in the next 2 years.
