Chandigarh, January 16: The Cabinet Sub-Committee comprising Finance Minister Advocate Harpal Singh Cheema, and Employment Generation, Skill Development & Training Minister Mr. Aman Arora on Tuesday directed School Education Department to form a committee of the senior officials of the department and representatives of NSQF Adhyapak Union to study their issues and find the best possible resolutions for the same.
The Cabinet Sub-Committee also directed the School Education department to submit reports on the findings of the committees after thoroughly examining the legal, administrative and financial implications, before calling the next meeting with the National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF) teachers. The Ministers also asked the department to convene a meeting with the Computer Adhyapak Union in the next week and present a detailed report on resolving their issues by January 31.

Earlier, the Cabinet Sub-Committee lent sympathetic ear to demands of the AIE Katche Adhyapak Union and asked the School Education department officials to find a solution to their concerns.
Meanwhile, the Cabinet Sub-Committee also directed the Rural Development & Panchayats and Water Supply & Sanitation departments to form a joint committee comprising senior officials of the both departments and representatives of GPWSC Water Supply Pump Operator Association to frame terms and conditions for availing or disengaging the services of the pump operators by Gram Panchayat Water Supply and Sanitation Committees (GPWSC).
The Cabinet Sub-Committee issued these directions while holding the meeting with the representatives of NSQF Adhyapak Union, Computer Adhyapak Union, AIE Katche Adhyapak Union and GPWSC Water Supply Pump Operator Association here at Punjab Civil Secretariat under the Chief Minister Bhagwant Sing Mann led Punjab Government’s initiatives of addressing the concerns of various sections of the society at the earliest. All the meetings were held in a very pleasant environment.
