Dell has expanded its premium laptop lineup in the US with the launch of the new Dell Alienware 15 gaming laptop alongside the AI-focused Dell 14S and Dell 16S models. The Dell Alienware 15 is aimed at gamers looking for high-end graphics performance, while the Dell 14S and 16S focus on portability, AI features, and long battery life for daily use.
At present, Dell has not confirmed when these laptops will launch in India.
Dell Alienware 15 Targets Hardcore Gamers
The new Dell Alienware 15 comes with a 15.3-inch WUXGA display featuring a 165Hz refresh rate and AMD FreeSync support for smoother gameplay. Dell is offering multiple processor options, including AMD Ryzen 5 220, Ryzen 7 260, Intel Core 5 210H, and Intel Core 7 240H chipsets.
On the graphics side, the Dell Alienware 15 can be configured with Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050, RTX 4050, RTX 5050, or RTX 5060 laptop GPUs. The top-end RTX 5050 and RTX 5060 variants also feature GDDR7 memory along with Dell’s advanced Cryo-Chamber airflow cooling design.
Dell says the Dell Alienware 15 uses Alienware Cryo-Tech thermal technology that includes dual fans, copper heat pipes, and rear exhaust vents to maintain stable temperatures during intensive gaming sessions. The laptop also includes an F7 Stealth Mode shortcut that allows users to switch to quieter performance modes instantly.
The Dell Alienware 15 supports up to 32GB DDR5 RAM and up to 1TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage. Dell has also made both RAM and storage upgradeable, which remains a key feature for gaming enthusiasts.
The laptop includes Alienware Command Center 6 software that lets users customise RGB lighting, gaming profiles, and overall system performance from one place. In terms of design, the Dell Alienware 15 features a polycarbonate resin body, a 180-degree hinge, and weighs around 2.25kg.
Connectivity options on the laptop include HDMI 2.1, USB Type-C ports with DisplayPort support, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, Ethernet, and USB-C charging support up to 100W on supported ports.
Dell has priced the AMD-powered Dell Alienware 15 starting at $1,299, while Intel-powered variants start at $1,349 in the US market.
Dell 14S And 16S Bring AI Features
Alongside the Dell Alienware 15, Dell has also introduced the new Dell 14S and Dell 16S laptops focused on AI-powered experiences and portability.
The laptops are powered by Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors and go up to the Intel Core Ultra 9 386H chipset. According to Dell, these processors include dedicated NPUs capable of handling AI workloads up to 50 TOPS.
Users can choose between FHD+, QHD+, and OLED display options depending on the configuration. The Dell 16S also gets an optional 2.8K OLED touchscreen display.
Both laptops support Microsoft Copilot AI features and include dedicated keyboard shortcuts for AI tools, screenshots, dictation, and microphone controls. Dell has also added AI-enhanced webcams with auto-framing and noise reduction for improved video calling quality.
Dell claims the Dell 14S can deliver up to 24 hours of productivity usage and up to 18 hours of video streaming. Meanwhile, the Dell 16S is rated for up to 14 hours of productivity and as much as 26 hours of streaming playback.
The laptops feature slim aluminium designs, MIL-STD-810H durability certification, and redesigned hinge systems for better airflow and improved structural rigidity.
The Dell 14S starts at $1,269.99, while the Dell 16S begins at $1,319.99 in the US market. Both laptops are available in Celestial Blue and Frost Blue colour options.
