CM Dhami calls Tripura student Anjel Chakma’s death deeply unfortunate, stresses facts, and highlights 2025 achievements in Uttarakhand.
CM Dhami on the Death of a Tripura Student
While presiding over the last organizational meeting of 2025 on Wednesday night, Uttarakhand CM Dhami spoke about the recent death of Tripura student Anjel Chakma in Dehradun, calling it a “deeply unfortunate” situation. He said during the meeting that all essential stringent measures had been taken in the subject, but that Delhi-based opposition and Leftist organizations were also disseminating needless lies and misunderstandings about it. In order to prevent attempts to incite societal unrest by bringing up topics like racial injustice, he emphasized the necessity of presenting facts firmly to refute such falsehoods. He went on to say that the populace is completely certain that PM Modi’s party and government will never do any misconduct. In order to fulfill the steadfast resolve of making Devbhoomi Uttarakhand a leading state, everyone must proceed more quickly in the new year.
Evaluation of 2025 Accomplishments
Dhami urged for party members to proceed with fresh focus on future objectives after reviewing the accomplishments of the previous year. The year turned out to be historic for the BJP government and the party, according to the chief minister. Being the first state to implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), clearing 10,000 acres of land from encroachment, giving government jobs to over 27,000 youth, hosting the National Games successfully, enforcing a zero-tolerance policy against corruption, securing a sweeping victory in municipal and panchayat elections, receiving guidance from the Prime Minister during the winter pilgrimage, and effectively branding the state through initiatives like Mann Ki Baat were among the major accomplishments.
Difficulties in the Handling of Disasters
In reference to the difficulties encountered in 2025, Chief Minister Dhami stated that the state overcame multiple natural calamities thanks to the bravery and cooperation of its citizens. With the help of the Center and the Prime Minister’s direction, floods in the Dharali and Rudraprayag’s Chhenagadh area as well as natural disasters in Bageshwar, Pauri, Dehradun, and other areas were effectively dealt with while preserving the state’s rate of development.
Pre-election Planning and Criticism of the Opposition
He went on to say that since this is the last year before the Assembly elections, the party needs to make the difference between progress and resistance very evident to the general people. While the opposition concentrates on causing confusion, impeding progress, and demoralizing the populace, the BJP stands for growth and public welfare. Initiatives like SI reforms, EVMs, CAA, Operation Sindoor, agricultural reform laws, UCC, stringent measures against religious conversion, test cheating, and action against unlawful encroachments have all been met with hostility, he said.
