Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath met Rene Piil Pedersen, Managing Director of Singapore-based integrated container logistics company AP Moller-Maersk, in Lucknow , February 2, 2026, to discuss expanding the company’s investments in the state. The meeting was also attended by Vivek Sharma, Head of Business Development & Regulatory Affairs for India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.
During the discussion, CM Adityanath emphasized that Uttar Pradesh is one of the fastest-growing states in India and offers a safe, stable, and transparent environment for investors. He highlighted that the state government provides comprehensive support to investors through a single-window system, time-bound approvals, policy-driven incentives, and a robust law-and-order framework.

Yogi Adityanath Invites AP Moller-Maersk to Expand Operations in Uttar Pradesh
The Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also underlined that the state’s extensive expressway network, modern logistics hubs, industrial corridors, and advanced infrastructure make Uttar Pradesh an attractive destination for business and investment. He invited AP Moller-Maersk to expand its operations in the state, assuring that the government would facilitate the availability of land, connectivity, and policy support.
Commenting on the meeting, Vivek Sharma said, “We had a very productive discussion about investment opportunities in Uttar Pradesh and appreciated the investor-friendly environment. Our company has been operating in the state for over 20 years, and we are encouraged by the state’s support for business expansion.”
