UP Police Crack the Saleem Wastik Attack Case in 48 Hours

Ghaziabad : The Saleem Wastik attack case in Ghaziabad saw a dramatic breakthrough after Uttar Pradesh Police neutralized two suspects within 48 hours. Authorities identified the accused as brothers Zeeshan and Ghulfam. Police killed both men in separate encounters during search operations in the Ghaziabad region.

The case began on February 27 when unknown attackers stabbed businessman and YouTuber Saleem Wastik inside his office in Loni. The assault shocked residents across Delhi-NCR because it occurred in a busy commercial area during working hours.

According to investigators, two helmet-wearing men entered Wastik’s office and attacked him with a sharp weapon. The attackers fled the scene on a motorcycle shortly after the assault. CCTV cameras installed near the building captured footage of the suspects escaping minutes after the attack.

Wastik suffered severe injuries during the stabbing. Doctors first admitted him to a local hospital in Ghaziabad. Later, doctors shifted him to GTB Hospital in Delhi for advanced treatment. His condition required close medical monitoring.

Soon after the incident, police registered a case of attempted murder and launched an extensive manhunt. Multiple police teams began scanning CCTV footage from nearby streets and commercial establishments. Investigators also tracked possible routes used by the attackers.

CCTV Evidence Leads Police to Two Brothers

The investigation into the Saleem Wastik attack quickly focused on two brothers who lived in Khoda Colony near Noida. Police identified them as Zeeshan and Ghulfam. Both worked as carpenters at a private company in Noida.

CCTV footage reportedly showed the two men leaving the attack location on a motorcycle moments after the stabbing. Investigators used the footage to track their movement across several roads in Ghaziabad and surrounding areas.

Police also examined mobile phone records and digital activity linked to the suspects. Meanwhile, officers conducted raids in multiple locations in Delhi-NCR to trace the accused.

The first major breakthrough came when police located Zeeshan in the Loni area. Officers attempted to arrest him during a late-night operation. However, the suspect allegedly tried to escape and fired at the police team. Officers returned fire during the encounter.

Zeeshan sustained critical injuries during the exchange. He later died while receiving treatment.

Police continued searching for his brother Ghulfam, who had managed to evade capture during the earlier operation.

Second Encounter in Vasundhara Ends the Manhunt
