CM Yogi Japan Visit: UP Signs MoU with Yamanashi to Boost Green Hydrogen, Industry, and Foreign Investment

Uttar Pradesh–Japan partnership strengthened with agreements on industrial collaboration, tourism, clean energy, and vocational education initiatives.

CM Yogi Japan Visit marked a major step in strengthening the UP–Japan partnership, as Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held constructive discussions with Mr. Kotaro Nagasaki, Governor of Yamanashi Prefecture, to enhance cooperation in key strategic sectors.

An MoU was signed to deepen collaboration in industry, tourism, and vocational education, with a special focus on Green Hydrogen projects in Uttar Pradesh, clean energy innovation, and technology exchange. This initiative aligns with Uttar Pradesh’s efforts to develop IIT Kanpur as a Centre of Excellence in Green Hydrogen, promoting energy self-reliance and supporting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for a sustainable future.

CM Yogi Japan Visit Leads to Major Investment Push as Japanese CEOs Plan Visit to UP

CM Adityanath welcomed the Governor’s plan to lead a delegation of 200 Japanese CEOs to Uttar Pradesh in August, which is expected to further accelerate UP foreign investment and industrial collaboration. He highlighted that Uttar Pradesh offers scale, skill, and speed, backed by strong infrastructure and seamless facilitation through Invest UP’s dedicated Japan Desk and the proposed Japan Industrial Township in YEIDA.

Describing the occasion, the Chief Minister said the MoU was signed on a “bright and sunny day in Yamanashi,” reflecting the clarity and confidence guiding this partnership. He expressed gratitude to the Governor of Yamanashi Prefecture and all stakeholders for their proactive role in deepening collaboration rooted in shared economic vision and civilizational connect.
