CM Yogi Orders Daily Monitoring of Public Hearings at District Level

DMs, SSPs, and Police Commissioners to join video conferences daily to ensure timely resolution of public grievances

by Tamanna

The CM Yogi Office (CMO) will now directly monitor public hearings conducted by District Magistrates (DMs) and Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) across the state. This step comes after the CM Yogi expressed displeasure over the lack of timely and appropriate action in several cases raised during Janata Darshan at the district level, pointing to administrative negligence that inconveniences the public and affects the government’s image.

In light of this, all Commissioners of Police, District Magistrates, and SSPs have been instructed to join the CM Yogi office via video conferencing every working day at 9:45 am. A formal letter regarding these instructions has been issued by the Additional Chief Secretary to the CM Yogi .

CM  Yogi  Directs District Officials to Ensure Timely Resolution of Complaints Through On-Site Monitoring

The CM Yogi  has emphasized that many complaints received at the state level should ideally be resolved at the district level. To ensure prompt action and improve administrative responsiveness, all officials are now required to participate in the monitoring of public hearings from 10 am to 12 pm, except on days reserved for scheduled programs such as Tehsil Day or Police Day. Attendance must be from their official office rooms, and joining via mobile phones or other locations is not permitted.

Officials are also tasked with checking the quality of complaint resolution by directly communicating with some of the complainants. Reports on both monitoring and disposal quality will be submitted to the Chief Minister.

The video conferencing link will be sent to the CUG numbers of all officers, who must ensure timely connection. Moreover, officers are required to display their name and district during the sessions to maintain accountability and transparency.
