CM Yogi Adityanath inspects CM Grid smart road in Gorakhpur; project features utility ducts, storm water system, and ₹2 crore annual revenue potential.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited the smart road created under the CM Grid (Chief Minister Green Road Infrastructure Development) plan in Raptinagar in Gorakhpur district on Wednesday.
Following his inspection of the project in Raptinagar, Gorakhpur, CM Yogi expressed his pleasure with the construction quality. He added: “The smart road, equipped with well-planned utility ducts, will also serve as a reliable source of revenue for the Municipal Corporation.”
According to the announcement, Chief Minister Yogi examined every facet of the project during the inspection and asked the Municipal Commissioner for comprehensive details on amenities including parking, seating arrangements, utility ducts, landscaping, and construction process. He was told that the route was created as a pilot project during the CM Grid scheme’s initial phase.

“After examining the project in Gorakhpur, CM Yogi informed reporters at a press conference that the road was designed with an integrated storm water management system and utility ducts, which will eliminate the need for repeated excavation for laying pipelines.”
CM Yogi emphasized the utility ducts’ financial importance by stating that organizations installing gas, electricity, and other pipelines will pay rent for their use, guaranteeing revenue for the Municipal Corporation. It is anticipated that the CM Grid smart road will bring in about ₹2 crore for the Municipal Corporation per year.
CM Yogi described the project as a paradigm for urban development and stated that it will assist urban local authorities become more financially capable. He contends that true growth requires teamwork, and that cities, districts, and the state advance to unprecedented levels when all parties involved collaborate. He went on to say that CM Yogi’s hometown of Gorakhpur is a prime example of this ethos of progress.
