Uttar Pradesh to develop India’s first AI City in Lucknow and AI-enabled university in Unnao under PM Modi’s guidance

Lucknow: On Thursday, CM Yogi Adityanath praised the human-centric, responsible, and transparent AI vision outlined by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the India AI Impact Summit 2026, calling it a historic milestone. He noted that the Prime Minister’s approach to AI, guided by the philosophy of ‘M.A.N.A.V’, not only promotes technological progress but also emphasizes ethical, inclusive, and accountable innovation.

Highlighting Uttar Pradesh’s initiatives in artificial intelligence, CM Yogi stated in a post on his official X handle that the state is making significant strides in AI development.

CM Yogi Announces India’s First AI City in Lucknow and AI University in Unnao

He announced that India’s first AI City is being developed in Lucknow, set to become a global center for innovation and technological research. Additionally, the country’s first AI-enabled multidisciplinary university has been launched in Unnao to prepare future-ready talent.

Through the ‘AI Pragya’ initiative, over one million youths are receiving advanced technical training to boost their competitiveness on the global stage.

The CM Yogi also emphasized that AI-driven solutions in Uttar Pradesh are enhancing agricultural productivity for more than one million farmer families.

CM Yogi concluded that, under the Prime Minister’s leadership, Uttar Pradesh is poised to play a pivotal role in shaping a secure, sovereign, and scalable AI future for India.
