Rajasthan : Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Wednesday stated that the Rajasthan Budget 2026–27 will be instrumental in achieving Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India, while ensuring inclusive and sustainable growth across the state.
Speaking at a press conference after presenting the Rajasthan Budget , Sharma said the document reflects the government’s commitment to the eight crore people of Rajasthan. He added that the proposals focus on rapid economic growth, fulfilling citizens’ aspirations, and promoting holistic development.
Notably, the Rajasthan Budget was presented on the death anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, the proponent of Antyodaya philosophy. Sharma emphasized that the Budget is dedicated to the welfare of the most underprivileged, including women, youth, laborers, farmers, and marginalized communities.

The Chief Minister noted that the Rajasthan Budget allocates substantial funds for essential sectors like electricity, water, education, healthcare, and infrastructure development, aiming to make Rajasthan developed, prosperous, and self-reliant.
Rajasthan Budget 2026–27 Focuses on 10 Key Areas to Drive State Development
The total size of the Rajasthan Budget 2026–27 is Rs 6,10,956 crore, representing a 41% increase over the 2023–24 Budget. Sharma highlighted that the Budget is based on 10 strong pillars to drive the state’s growth.
He also pointed out the government’s performance in fulfilling promises: 1,246 out of 1,441 announcements (86%) from the 2025–26 Budget have been implemented, while 1,188 out of 1,277 announcements (93%) from 2024–25 have been executed.

Rajasthan’s per capita income has surpassed Rs 2 lakh for the first time, and the Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) for 2026–27 is projected at Rs 21,52,100 crore, a 41% increase from 2023–24. The per capita income is estimated to rise to Rs 2,23,497, a 21.15% increase over the previous year.
The Rajasthan Budget allocates Rs 53,978 crore for capital expenditure and infrastructure development, more than double the 2023–24 allocation. Health services will receive Rs 32,526 crore, a 53% increase from the previous year. Additionally, the Green Budget has been allocated Rs 33,476 crore, marking a 20.81% increase over 2025–26.
