Budget 2026: Rajasthan Assembly Concludes Governor’s Address Debate Ahead of Presentation

Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma to reply on Governor’s Address; departmental reports and committee recommendations tabled in Assembly

Jaipur: The Rajasthan Assembly is all set for a busy day as the budget session continues. The House convened at 11 a.m. on Thursday, with proceedings beginning directly from the Zero Hour, as the question hour was skipped. Today marks the final day of discussions on the Governor’s address. At 3 p.m., Leader of Opposition Tikaram Julie will present the opposition’s views, followed by Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma replying on behalf of the government at 4 p.m.

Government Reports to be Presented

In addition to the Governor’s address debate, the Assembly will see the tabling of annual reports from several key departments, including RIICO and the Forest Development Corporation. Committee recommendations related to agriculture and women’s development will also be placed before the House. Ministers Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Sanjay Sharma, and Chairman Kalpana Devi are expected to present these reports. This constitutional process ensures transparency by highlighting the year-long functioning of various departments.\

State Budget Presentation on February 11

With the Chief Minister’s reply, the first phase of the budget session will conclude, and the House will be adjourned. The second phase of the session will commence on February 11, when the full state budget will be presented. The upcoming budget holds significant importance for youth, women, and farmers, and will once again spark detailed discussions in the Assembly.
