Rajasthan Assembly gears up for 2026 Budget Session; CM Bhajan Lal Sharma chairs BJP strategy meeting as state prepares for infrastructure and employment focus.

Preparations for the upcoming budget session of the Rajasthan Assembly have gathered momentum. The BJP legislature party is scheduled to meet at the Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma residence to strategize for the session. The meeting, chaired by the Chief Minister, will begin at 4:30 pm on Tuesday, January 27. Government Chief Whip Jogeshwar Garg has instructed all MLAs to attend the meeting promptly. Discussions will focus on floor management for the budget session, followed by a dinner for MLAs at 7 pm at the CM’s residence.

In addition, Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani will convene an all-party meeting today ahead of the 5th session of the 16th Assembly. Scheduled for 3 pm in the Speaker’s chamber, the meeting will be attended by Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, Leader of Opposition Tika Ram Julie, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Jogaram Patel, ruling party Chief Whip Jogeshwar Garg, opposition Chief Whip Rafiq Khan, and MLAs Subhash Garg, Manoj Kumar, and Thawarchand.

The state budget is set to be presented on February 11, 2026. Chief Minister Sharma is also holding meetings with political and administrative officials at the divisional level. The upcoming budget is expected to focus on infrastructure development, new employment opportunities, and social security initiatives, reflecting the government’s priorities for the state.
