Bhajan Lal Sharm: Paper Leak Allegations Against Congress

CM Bhajan Lal Sharma criticized the Congress, claiming that exam papers were routinely leaked under their rule, whereas no paper leaks have occurred in the past two years. Appeal to Sarpanches and Panchayat Development

Describing himself as a servant, the Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma said only a servant understands the struggles of the people. He recalled his tenure as a sarpanch from 2000 to 2005, highlighting the lifelong relationships formed through such roles. The government has now formed 3,467 new panchayats, with structures based on policy and population—1,500 in desert areas and 2,500 in other regions.

CM Bhajan Lal criticized Congress for governance based on favoritism, contrasting it with the current rule-based approach intended to benefit everyone. He highlighted enhancements in employment and development schemes under the VB Gram scheme, including:

  • 125 days of employment instead of 100 under NREGA
  • Budget increase from Rs 85,000 crore to Rs 95,692 crore
  • Approval for pucca works in Gram Sabha proposals, including repair of school and hospital buildings and construction of boundary walls

The Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma encouraged sarpanches to ensure effective utilization of these schemes for community welfare.
