Alwar Tiger International Half Marathon 2026 Inaugurated by CM Bhajanlal Sharma

CM Bhajanlal Sharma and Dy CM Diya Kumari flag off the event as thousands of national and international runners participate to promote fitness, cleanliness, and wildlife conservation.

Rajasthan : Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, along with Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari, inaugurated the Alwar Tiger International Half Marathon 2026 on Sunday in Alwar district. The large-scale event witnessed participation from nearly 20,000 runners, including athletes and fitness enthusiasts from different parts of India and overseas.

Actor Randeep Hooda was also present at the event, lending support to the cause. Organised under the guidance of Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Bhupender Yadav, the marathon focused on spreading awareness about tiger conservation, environmental protection, and physical fitness, in line with the Centre’s Fit India initiative.

Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari described the Tiger International Half Marathon  as a meaningful effort that successfully merged fitness with conservation goals. She said the international-level event saw enthusiastic participation from citizens, athletes, and nature lovers alike. Highlighting its uniqueness, she noted that linking environmental awareness, wildlife protection, and the Fit India movement in one platform made the marathon both impactful and educational.

Rajasthan Minister Sanjay Sharma emphasised the inclusive nature of the event, stating that over 20,000 participants took part across different categories, including 21 km, 10 km, and 5 km races. He added that the Tiger International Half Marathon  also saw active participation from specially-abled individuals, reflecting its broad outreach and social inclusivity.

He further said the event aimed to highlight the importance of wildlife conservation and environmental responsibility, especially drawing attention to Sariska National Park, which is globally recognised for its tiger population and ecological significance.

Union Minister Bhupender Yadav, while addressing the gathering, thanked the residents of Alwar and various organisations for their overwhelming support. He said the marathon symbolised a shared commitment towards health, cleanliness, and conservation, inspired by the Prime Minister’s vision. Yadav also acknowledged the participation of national and international runners, calling the event a collective success.

Additionally, the Union Minister noted that the Tiger International Half Marathon  carried a strong message on cleanliness and civic responsibility for Alwar, describing the occasion as personally emotional and deeply fulfilling.

The Alwar Tiger International Half Marathon featured multiple race categories and attracted professional athletes, local residents, fitness lovers, and specially-abled participants. Overall, the event reinforced key messages of healthy living, environmental awareness, wildlife conservation, and social inclusion.
