A high-level Rabi season review meeting at Anaj Bhawan was held in Chandigarh under the chairmanship of Punjab Food and Civil Supplies Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak, along with senior department officials. The meeting focused on wheat procurement, payments to farmers, and overall mandi operations across the state.
During the Rabi season review meeting at Anaj Bhawan, the minister reviewed the ongoing procurement progress and reiterated that the Punjab government stands firmly with farmers despite natural challenges. He emphasized that ensuring smooth procurement for the “annadata” remains the top priority.

Sharing key data in the Rabi season review meeting at Anaj Bhawan, officials informed that wheat arrivals have reached 121.65 lakh metric tonnes, while total procurement has touched 120.89 lakh metric tonnes, reflecting efficient handling of the Rabi season operations.
The Rabi season review meeting at Anaj Bhawan also highlighted that ₹29,132.94 crore has already been paid to farmers, with 98% of payments successfully completed. This ensures timely financial support and strengthens farmer confidence in the procurement system.
