The Punjab government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, has emphasized the need for a stringent law to deal firmly with cases of sacrilege. Cabinet Minister Harpal Singh Cheema stated that this step was a necessity of the hour to ensure strict action against such deeply sensitive offenses.

Punjab Sacrilege Prevention Law to Ensure Strict Punishments and Zero Tolerance Against Offenders
The new Punjab sacrilege prevention law aims to ensure that strict punishments are imposed on those found guilty of such acts. Officials believe that this will send a strong and clear message that sacrilege will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
